Hello, My name is Emil Velasquez and I am a licensed Acupuncturist in California. I specialize in women’s health, infertility, and emotional disorders such as anxiety and depression. Before I studied Chinese medicine, I received a bachelors degree in Psychology. My motivation to study psychology was sparked by the people that I hold dear in my heart. Close to me were people who suffered from stress, depression, anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I admire these people immensely. It is not easy to go about your day while suffering from anxiety, depression and etc. Sure medications kept them afloat, but something was missing.
Acupuncture and Chinese medicine has been around for over 2,000 years. The medicine is time tested and has a great track record for not having any side effects. I have treated many patients with anxiety, depression, stress, insomnia and etc. I have seen many of my patient’s quality of life improve from Chinese medicine. It is an effective, side effect-free alternative therapy for the treatment of these conditions.
