In the Filipino language, “malaya” signifies “free” or “freedom.” Born and raised in the Philippines, Emil Velasquez chose to name our clinic after this word because of his vision: to help as many people as possible live disease-free lives.
At Malaya Acupuncture & Wellness Center, our goal is simple yet profound: to guide our patients toward optimal wellness through the use of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and lifestyle changes. Unlike traditional “band-aid” clinics, we prioritize a comprehensive approach to health. We don’t merely treat symptoms; we seek to understand and address the root causes of illness. By doing so, we enable the body to regain its natural balance and function optimally.
